Please read these terms carefully before using Studio Scents services

1. WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS
1.1 Booking and Payment Security
All workshop reservations are administered through the Calendly scheduling platform. To secure a booking, full payment is required at the time of reservation. Payments are securely processed via Stripe. A booking is confirmed and legally binding upon successful transaction clearance and the customer's receipt of a confirmation email.
1.2 Policy on Refunds, Rescheduling, and Lateness
- Policy on Refunds: All workshop bookings are final and non-refundable.
- Rescheduling: Participants may reschedule their booking up to two (2) times free of charge, provided that written notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled event.
- Lateness Protocol: Should a participant arrive more than 30 minutes late, they will be refused admittance to ensure the timely conclusion of the session for other attendees. In such instances, the reservation shall be forfeited, and no refund or rescheduling will be offered.
1.3 Health, Safety, and Liability
- Hazardous Materials Warning and Disclaimer: Our workshops utilize concentrated fragrance oils and heated wax. Individuals suffering from fragrance sensitivities, severe asthma, migraines, or chronic respiratory conditions are strongly discouraged from participation. By booking, the participant acknowledges these risks. Studio Scents (BT company) disclaims all liability for allergic reactions or respiratory issues arising from participation.
- Participant Conduct and Refusal of Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to or remove any participant who appears intoxicated, behaves aggressively, or acts in a manner that compromises the safety of the group. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
2. ONLINE STORE TERMS OF SALE
2.1 Shipping and Delivery
- Shipping Partners: We partner with trusted logistics providers, including Posti, Matkahuolto, PostNord, and Makahuolto.
- Processing Time: Orders shall be processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation.
- Delivery Estimates: Estimated delivery time within Finland is 2–7 business days.
- Unclaimed Packages: It is the customer's responsibility to collect their package within the carrier's specified timeframe. Should a package be returned to us as unclaimed, we reserve the right to levy a handling and return fee of €15.00. This amount will be deducted from any potential refund.
2.2 Product Use and Liability Disclaimer
- Usage: All products are strictly for Home Fragrance use. They are not classified as cosmetic products and must not be applied to the skin.
- Artisanal Production Disclaimer: Our candles are hand-poured using natural ingredients (soy wax). Consequently, slight variations in color, texture (such as "frosting"), or surface finish may occur. Such variations are inherent to the artisanal process and the use of natural materials, and do not constitute a defect.
2.3 Consumer Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal commencing from the date of receipt of the goods.
- Conditions: Items must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
- Exceptions: The right of return does not apply to used candles, opened DIY kits, or personalized/custom-made items, due to hygiene and resale limitations.
3. B2B & CUSTOM ORDERS (PRIVATE LABEL / EVENTS)
3.1 B2B Production Schedule
- Lead Time: Standard production time is 7–14 business days following the receipt of the deposit, subject to order volume.
- Rush Orders: Expedited production requests (less than 7 business days) are subject to discretionary approval and an applicable Rush Fee.
3.2 Payment Terms
- Advance Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 70–80% of the total invoice value is required to procure raw materials and secure production slots.
- Final Balance: The remaining balance is due in full prior to shipment or upon delivery, as stipulated in the official invoice. Title to the goods shall remain with BT company until receipt of full payment.
3.3 Quality Variation Acknowledgment
The Client acknowledges and accepts that minor variations in scent throw, color, or wax adhesion may occur between batches for large-volume custom orders due to the organic nature of the raw materials, and that such variations are within acceptable industry standards for handmade goods.
